Right-sided Infective Endocarditis with Multiple Large Vegetations in a Case of Ventricular Septal Defect: A Case Report
Herein, we present the case of a 10-year-old child suffering from right-sided infective endocarditis with ventricular septal defect. Echocardiography revealed multiple rare large vegetations on the pulmonary valve extending into pulmonary artery along with a large vegetation over the septal leaflet of the tricuspid valve.

A 28-year-old woman previously known to have a ventricular septal defect presented with fever, headache, abdominal pain and nausea. Positive blood culture of methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus and the detection of vegetation attached to the right ventricular wall near the ostium of the ventricular septal defect confirmed diagnosis of infective endocarditis. After four weeks' treatment ...

There have been several case reports describing left ventricle to right atrium shunt after infective endocarditis (IE). We present here a patient found to have an acquired VSD secondary to IE of the aortic and tricuspid valves ...
